Enjoy cliffs, underground cave systems, have picnics and watch wildlife while you walk along this marvelous trail off the shipwreck beach.



Location: Mahaulepu heritage trail, Kauai, Hawaii Direction: South side of Kauai, Hawaii Nature of Attraction: Hike, Trail Distance: ~4 Miles roundtrip Beach: Yes Swell: Very high. What to Explore: Caves. Fish in Tidal pools. Secluded beaches What to Avoid: Jumping in to Ocean from cliffs, Ancient Hawaiian landmarks Kids Friendly: Yes Toughness: Mostly Easy. Sometimes Moderate Best time to hike: Early morning, year round. Hotter later in the day Wildlife: Turtles, Monk seals, Tropical fish, Tortoise (on land) Lifeguard: No Showers: Yes, @Shipwreck beach Restroom: Yes, @Shipwreck beach Parking: @Shipwreck beach. Also along street. Free Where do you start: Start at Shipwreck beach. Travel either left or right.
